Mercedes-Benz Service B
The more comprehensive of the two scheduled maintenance visits. Everything in Service A, plus a new cabin filter and a brake fluid exchange.
What is Service B?
Mercedes-Benz organizes routine maintenance into two alternating visits, Service A and Service B. Service B is the more thorough of the two. It first comes due at approximately 20,000 miles, or one year after your previous service, and returns about every 20,000 miles or two years after that.
It begins with the full Service A: synthetic oil and filter, fluid levels, tire pressure and a brake component inspection. It then adds two items that wear with time, not just mileage. A new cabin dust/combination filter keeps the air inside the cabin clean. A brake fluid exchange replaces fluid that slowly absorbs moisture, which over time lowers its boiling point and dulls brake feel.
As with Service A, your instrument cluster tells you when Service B is due, so the schedule takes care of itself.
